''The Hammonton Gazette'' is the local weekly newspaper of Hammonton, New Jersey. It was founded in 1997 by the then-23-year-old Gabriel J. Donio and is owned by The Hammonton Gazette Inc. The first print edition was published on July 2, 1997. Gabriel J. Donio is the owner and publisher of The Gazette. Gina L. Rullo is the editor-in-chief. The Gazette staff consists of approximately 30 people. Each Wednesday, the newspaper is distributed though Hammonton and the surrounding area. The Gazette has subscribers throughout New Jersey and in all 50 states. The black-and-white newspaper primarily covers the town of Hammonton, Atlantic County, New Jersey, focusing on local politics, businesses and residents. It is available for sale (35 cents a copy) at more than 70 locations in Hammonton, Folsom, Waterford Twp., Winslow Twp., Egg Harbor City, Buena and Collings Lakes. After graduating from BU, he attended Georgetown University Graduate School. He is a 1991 graduate of Hammonton High School. Donio was named one of the "Top 40 Under 40" Best and Brightest Leaders in the region by Atlantic City Weekly in 2005. He has been a member of the Atlantic County Cultural & Heritage Affairs Advisory Board since 2004. He is the author of the book "Images of America: Hammonton" and is a member of the Historical Society of Hammonton. He served on the board of Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers. Donio is a past president of the Hammonton Lions Club. He is a lifelong resident of Hammonton. Gina Rullo - Editor-in-Chief of The Hammonton Gazette. She is a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Originally from New York, Rullo now resides in Hammonton. She is a member of the Historical Society of Hammonton and the Woman's Civic Club and is a trustee for the Greater Hammonton Chamber of Commerce. Rullo was named one of the "Top 40 Under 40" Best and Brightest Leaders in the region by Atlantic City Weekly in 2006. In 2010, Rullo was named to the Atlantic County Women's Hall of Fame. Dan Russoman – Sports Editor of The Hammonton Gazette. Originally from Bloomfield, NJ, he is a graduate of Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey). He has been The Gazette's Sports Editor since the paper began. Has also worked as a part-time reporter for the Daily Record (Parsippany, NJ) as well as internships at both the Times of Trenton and the Trentonian. While at Trenton State, earned two New Jersey Press Association Awards for Sportswriting (College Division). He currently resides in Vineland with his wife Laura and their three daughters. Russoman is the author of ''Hometown Pride: The Tradition of Sports in Hammonton.'' MarySusan Hoffman – Lead Graphic Designer of The Hammonton Gazette. She is a 2006 graduate of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Visual Communications / Graphic Design. She is a 2002 graduate of Hammonton High School. She and her husband Brian are both lifelong residents of Hammonton. Brittany Mauro – Staff Writer & Graphic Designer of The Hammonton Gazette. Mauro is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. She is a 2010 graduate of St. Joseph High School. Mauro is a lifelong resident of Hammonton. "'Kevin Troilo'"- Staff Writer of The Hammonton Gazette. Troilo is a 2015 graduate of Temple University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism/communications. Troilo is a resident of Gloucester County. "'Tania Rivera'"- Copy Editor of The Hammonton Gazette. She received both her undergraduate and master's degrees from Stockton University in 2012 and 2014, respectively. Rivera has a Bachelor of Arts in Literature with a minor in Spanish and a Master of Arts in American Literature. She is a resident of Cumberland County and volunteers with the Vineland Historical Society.
